Menace (Defile)

welcome to the mind of a menace
lavishly living villains
covered in grey
that rumble and tumble down the charts
until they formulate day
the darkness feeds on the evil of the night
there’s no escaping shade for its present past light
the shadows begin to bleed
and from the seed of injustice I reek
of the stench of repetition
for I ignore their pleads
to find the power source of hell
I once had a halo but put it up for sale
in return I used my wings to challenge death truly
I stalled out in the sky- the clouds blanketed and consumed me
as the ground grew closer, I considered my possibilities
there’s mystery surrounding flying and I think I found the key
the door is the criminal minds of adolescents
I’m stressing to learn the lesson
but left guessing in Heaven’s presence
a chain seals the gates, a symbol of our faith
making the strong die weak and the feeble feel great
and as I finally hit, face filled with gravel and spit
or blood I couldn’t tell for I was blinded by floods
of all the curious minds of an adolescent time
I combine all of my energy to show them a sign
it’s called revival, I’m defiant in my journey for the title
I burned pages of the Bible to make the fire to end survival
and as their eyes widen I finally  seal a win
by ripping off my saviors and walking away with a grin
I make a thousand bright souls dark and grimace
and my light is strong yet the dimmest
you are now leaving the mind of a menace
